Oh, what a week! It’s been a thrilling one for Flair Boutique UK. The sun is shining today, and the blue skies and warmer climes have got us feeling motivated about the transitioning seasons and what that means for fashion. The week started at the NEC in Birmingham on Monday for the MODA fashion trade event. It was wonderful to see the fresh spring styles, prints and colours on the rails as the different fashion providers showcased what Spring/Summer 19 has to offer.
The MODA Woman and MODA Directions catwalk shows brought the contemporary womenswear from exhibitors across the show to life. There was also an insightful talk from Amy Hobson from Social B about using Instagram and Pinterest to their full potential for business – ideas that Flair Boutique UK will be taking on board to show case our fashion inspo.
At Flair Boutique UK we love the opportunity to adapt our style to suit the occasion and what better event for fashionistas than the Brit Awards! On Wednesday we got our flair on to set off my cable car to the O2 for the Brit Awards 2019. With a red-carpet entrance, champagne hospitality and a show-stopping opening performance from Hugh Jackman, the scene was set for a fantastic night of music, fashion, fizz and fun. The red-carpet fashion at the Brits didn’t disappoint. From bold fashion statements from Little Mix, Dua Lipa and Pink, to Shawn Mendes and Hugh Jackman suited and booted, Britain’s biggest night in music is the perfect excuse (as if one is ever needed!) to dress to the nines. Jorja Smith shone in 16Arlington, just like an award winner of the best British Female Solo Artist at the Brit Awards 2019 should.
And what was the Flair Boutique UK red carpet look? The Dalmatian Side Wrap Skirt worked an absolute treat with the Black Flounce Fringed Bodysuit from ASOS – we love mixing our fashionable Flair with our other favourite brands. The AX Paris Cream Faux Fur Jacket was ideal for the cable car ride to the O2 and the Glitter Star Clutch from Petit Dunnocks added the necessary red-carpet bling.
It was a fabulous evening being wined (or should be say ‘champagned’) and dined in the O2 Sapphire Suite with the best view of the extravagant stage performances – choregraphed to perfection. But it was also really satisfying to hang out in the company of stylish men and women and to network, meeting lovely people including the beautiful ladies from The Body Shop.
So, after such an exciting week for Flair Boutique UK, it’s back to planning our next fashion show. The models have their outfits and are ready to take the catwalk by storm. And when this fashion show is done, it will be time to plan our next event. When it comes to fashion, we’ll never rest on our laurels. Watch this space and get set to stay stylish this Spring. #getyourflairon
